Our Privacy Policy

Who we are

We are a small business that is dastardly, but not evil enough to steal or do anything shitty with your data. Life is far too short to piss off people we like and enjoy working with.

Our website address is https://virtuallyweb.co.uk

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies

We use cookies as the internet kind of demands it nowadays. If you aren’t keen on allowing cookies you can block them on your browser but to be honest, it could make your web experience a bit shit so we wouldn’t recommend it but it’s your journey and browser.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to have a bit of a nosey on how many people visit our site – we’re a bit vain occasionally. Mostly we want to know how you found us, what pages you looked at and if you stuck around long enough to read anything that may be helpful to you. Google Analytics doesn’t store any of your data apart from maybe an IP address which quite frankly we don’t pay much attention to. We only want you to get in touch with us so that we can help you work through the maze of getting your site alive and kicking.

Your data, what we do with it and how it’s stored

The only data we collect is your name, email address, phone number, and whatever else you supply us with when you contact or work with us. None of this information is stored on our website. Your contact details are kept in our email application cache – mac mail if you’re interested – and the emails that we’re far too lazy to delete because after all, who really does all that.  We must be up to about 10,000 emails now.

If you work with us your details will be inputted into a really neat spreadsheet that’s stored in an iCloud account that only one person has access to and it’s really there so that stuff doesn’t get forgotten as it’s really boring having to chase you every time we need to remind ourselves of your surname etc.

If you sign up to our mailing list you will join the names of other adventurers in the internet. We use Mailchimp to organise our readers details and to send out our emails. Name and email addresses are stored here, and again, only one person has access to this information. You’ll be able to unsubscribe from our list by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email. We will never darken your door again. Unless of course you sign up again.

Your data and your rights to it

You can request to have a copy of any of the data we hold on you and we’ll send it all over on one of those neat spreadsheets. To be honest it’s not that fancy and quite frankly we only want to be able to use the data to continue working and communicating with you. Yes, we’re dastardly but we’re too busy doing other things to get shitty with your data.

If you would like us to delete your data, all you need to do is ask but that’ll be it. We won’t be able to contact you or take you out for an all-expenses lunch date – Ciao.
